The Clan Grant Society of Canada brings together descendants and friends of Clan Grant to honour our history, strengthen kinship, and preserve our heritage.
We are clan members united by a shared commitment to preserving and celebrating the heritage of Clan Grant in Canada and abroad. Our purpose extends beyond ancestry alone—we work to safeguard the clan’s history, traditions, symbols, and stories, ensuring they remain meaningful and accessible for future generations.​Through research, education, cultural events, and collaboration with Grant societies worldwide, we foster a sense of kinship among descendants and friends of the clan. Whether honouring our Highland roots, supporting genealogical discovery, or strengthening global connections, we strive to uphold the enduring values of Clan Grant, guided by the motto Stand Fast, Craigellachie.
Our Story
The Clan Grant Society of Canada exists to preserve, promote, and share the heritage of Clan Grant for present and future generations. Founded by individuals united through ancestry, history, and respect for Scottish tradition, the Society provides a meaningful connection between our ancestral homeland in Scotland and the many Grant descendants who now call Canada home.
Our story is part of the wider Scottish diaspora. As members of Clan Grant settled across Canada, the need grew for a shared place to remember our origins, tell our stories, and strengthen bonds of kinship. The Society was formed to ensure that the history, values, and traditions of Clan Grant did not fade with distance or time.

Our purpose is threefold. First, we seek to educate, by encouraging the study of Clan Grant history, genealogy, and culture. Second, we aim to connect, bringing together Grant descendants and friends through events, communication, and collaboration with Grant societies worldwide. Third, we strive to preserve, supporting the responsible stewardship of historical knowledge, symbols, and traditions associated with Clan Grant.

Above all, the Clan Grant Society of Canada is guided by the clan motto, Stand Fast, Craigellachie. It reflects our commitment to continuity, integrity, and respect—for our ancestors, for one another, and for the generations yet to come.

Development of the Society
​
Currently, the Clan Grant Society is in its developmental stage and is overseen by two interim board members serving as stewards until a formal Board of Directors is elected and established. Members who are interested in volunteering or serving on the Board are warmly encouraged to contact us.
